Patient presented to the office for a post operative appointment 1 week after a simple incision and drainage with bone biopsy due to an abscess secondary to a puncture wound and complicated with several underlying co-morbidities.
This is what happens when directions are not followed and proper care and antibiotics are not continued.
Back to the hospital 🏥 back to the operating room 😷
Foot infections are serious. They can easily become both limb and life threatening especially in patients with underlying co-morbidities.
